Sharing coupon codes

If you’re like me and are on a tight budget paying full price is not always (if ever) an option. I use a coupon for everything I buy but when I need to purchase something online I rarely have the coupon code I need at my fingertips. I have recently been introduced to a web site that will change that. Promotioncode.org is a way for all of us coupon shoppers to find discounts we need and share discounts we know about with others. It’s like an online couponing group and everyone is invited.
This is the feature I like best since it allows for limitless possibilities. The more people participating, the more discounts you have access to.  So, recall all those codes you come across that aren’t for the product or store you need. What if you shared them on promotioncode.org? What if all your friends did the same thing? The database would be over flowing with codes and the one you need is likely to be there.
I wanted to see what else the site had to offer other than the feature of sharing codes and the ability to search for the code you need. I found a direct link to the Amazon Deal of the Day. I love this since it is how I found my son Samuel’s birthday present at half price. Personally, I love finding deals on things I didn’t know I was looking for. It makes me feel super productive and five steps ahead.
You can also have an email sent to you when a new code is posted to a certain site so there is no need to sit at the computer hitting refresh. Busy moms know all about the importance of saving time and nothing is more frustrating than finding your time has been wasted. If a code is not working, you’ll know it before wasting time on it. Each code has a success rate to let you know how often it works. Codes with 100% success rates are listed first so you don’t have to search for them.
All in all it’s a good tool to assist you in your online shopping. Tell your friends about it because someone has the code you (or I) may need.
Disclosure: This post is brought to you by your friends at PromotionCode.org.

LIVVIE’S CLIPPIES

Livvie’s Clippies was created by Laura, a New Jersey Mom who wanted to make unique hair accessories for her little girl, Olivia Joy. She started a facebook and Etsy page to sell her creations and Livvie’s Clippies took off.
The process;
I ordered 2 items from Livvie’s Clippies for a baby shower gift. A dear friend of mine was having her second little girl (Irish twins!) and I needed something unique and creative for the baby-to-be that already had everything. I asked Laura to make me two matching headband bows, one for a big sister and one for a little sister. I gave her the go ahead to choose all the colors, ribbons, etc.  Laura stayed in contact with me through the process (something you rarely find these days while shopping).  I paid using PayPal and before I knew it the product was delivered. It couldn’t have been easier.

The product;
I am very pleased with the items I purchased and was surprised by the high quality and creativity. My first surprise was that the bows were made on clips that can be removed from the head band and worn separately…GENIUS! (I don’t have little girls so if this is normal I don’t know it but I still credit her with this genius idea).  My next surprise was that she had lined the inside of the clip with a soft rubber material…again GENIUS! I may not have little girls but I was one and I KNOW that metal clips hurt! The rubber should not only keep the clip in the hair but help avoid the pulling of hair when your little princess decides she wants it out. It also keeps it firmly on the head band. Now here is the best part about ordering custom made products. Laure made the “little sister” bow slightly smaller than the “big sister” bow…great idea! This makes total sense for obvious reasons. I have attached pictures of the items so you can see for yourself.
Needless to say I LOVE my products from Livvie’s Clippies and I’m sure you will too. Check back soon (and by soon I mean this week) for a chance to win custom made clippies from Livvie’s Clippies.

More than an ExerSaucer

The ExcerSaucer is a great baby item but when it can be used from newborn to 24 months it becomes a must have item.
I chose the Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun Jungle specifically because of the 3 stages it offered. I liked knowing it wasn't going to sit in the box until Samuel was 4 months old then be put away before his first birthday.

Stage one offers a leaf shaped play mat and two base pieces for the arched jungle piece with plush hanging toys (see pictures). Samuel started out gazing at those toys, which would later be referred to as his "friends", and before we knew it he was reaching up for them, great for eye-hand coordination.

Stage two is the ExerSaucer set up. This has 3 height settings to grow with your little one. The best part about this stage is EVERY toy is removable. This makes for great cleaning but also allows you to control the amount of toys that are on there at one time. We started out with two and then swapped them out after a while. This kept the ExcerSaucer new and exciting for months. This also kept him from being over stimulated from too many toys at one time.

Stage three is for standing and playing (we are almost there!). The base is removed and the circle top is turned into an "S" shape. This set up allows multiple children to play at once from either side. When we begin this stage I will post a follow up on how it went.

My favorite features are; the removable seat that is machine washable, easy to clean top because all toys can be easily removed, and the stage one...because he loved it so much <3

If you plan on getting an ExcerSaucer (and you should) I highly recommend getting the Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun Jungle... two years of play makes it worth every penny.

Baltic Amber Teething Necklace

Some of you know all about Baltic amber and how great it is for teething but most of you probably never heard of it. So, from one mom to another (or to you dads too) I believe it is my duty to share with you the "wonderfulness" that is Baltic amber.

When Samuel started teething at 3 month there wasn't much we could give him that we were comfortable with so we went with a Baltic amber teething necklace as suggested by a good friend (God bless her for that suggestion). It was hard to tell if the necklace worked because we started it from day one and NEVER took the chance of taking it off for an extended period of time, until a friend needed to borrow it for a couple nights. That's when we discovered it was the necklace that had been easing his discomfort. Those few nights without it were long ones.

I didn't know anything about Baltic amber before this so I was pleased to find that the recommended sight had lots of information about it. That web site is www.inspiredbyfinn.com and here is a bit of information from the site;

"Historically, Baltic Amber has been used in Europe as a natural and traditional remedy and curative for many ailments for centuries. Long ago it was considered one of the leading ‘medicines’ of its time. Baltic Amber is the most esteemed amber in the world, and the healing qualities of Baltic Amber make it unlike any other type of amber found in the world.
When Baltic amber is worn on the skin, the skin’s warmth releases trace amounts of healing oils from the amber. These oils contain succinic acid and are absorbed into the skin.
Baltic Amber has some of the highest concentrations of Succinic Acid found in nature, and this is what makes it so special. Succinic Acid is a natural component of plant and animal tissues, and it's presence in the human body is beneficial in many ways."

We purchased the 11" cognac round beaded necklace. Costumer service was fantastic and so very helpful when I placed the incorrect order and ahd to change it last minute. I give the necklace and the company 5 stars!

I highly recommend checking out the site and reading more and I also recommend getting a necklace for your little one.
